I read this a while back. It is a newish follow, but so far I’ve appreciated what Charaia Rush had to say. This was one that helped me greatly in simply allowing the goodness overshadow the harsh things in my life. Just allow myself and others to enjoy the sweetness and happiness in my life. People don’t always need to know the hard stuff. Will I share what I’ve learn, some of my trials? Absolutely. After all this site is geared toward us cultivating, exploring, and creating beauty. Beauty is often hard won that’s why there’s so much push back. There are beautiful testimonies that comes out of it. Testimonies that are meant not just as stories on paper, but living, breathing words that wreck havoc on chaos and darkness. Words meant to give you life. But the deepest part of ourselves wrestle with things, we whimper wishing people could *see* us, *know* us. It is how we are created…to be known. And we are. We are very much known by Him who created us and loves us. When we understand that…our inner world changes.
When we allow ourselves to not be so concern with people knowing our “full” story and instead share freely our victories so they can too rise up. There’s something within us, a Holy Spirit knowing confidence- a fire to keep going. Oversharing only leads to trouble and on the flip-side so does not sharing. Share heartbreak wisely, choose your friends that you share with, with discretion, and listen before you speak of how you got there. But do not withhold the goodness that has happened. It doesn’t matter if people misunderstand…sadly even with the whole story they will choose how they will. That being said- the courage to live beautifully with unseen scars and untold mercies save for a beautiful trusted few- displaying and living aloud the goodness of God….that’s quite a way to live.
