Dear heart…take in the beauty that is yours. Own the beauty that is yours, only yours. The gifts that you have…walk in them. The talents you have…don’t let them die. Rise up and do what is yours to do. Have courage.

Old wooden piano with a wooden bench in a field of tall sunflower field have the courage to be beautiful.

There is beauty in who you are in the way God created you. Play the song He put in you to play not borrowing a different identity.

We have visions of us being strong and brave. Often in our own visions of what strength means to us in clothes that makes us feel beautiful and strong, wielding whatever weapon that is yours to take. In these moments, it is often envision that we always have things together, we look together, and never heaven forbid act imperfectly.

Yet…that’s not where courage lives.

It lies in the mundane days where our lists are long, the to- dos that seems and can be so important, and yet we set aside time to love those who have our hearts. Courage lies in sticky fingers and wide open innocents children that tugs on your clothes and leaves their prints on everything clean. It lies in holding tongue when its better to then risk unnecessary wounds….or willingness to speak truth though relationships may close.

It lies in the small details that are stepping stones to your seemly impossible dreams.

Still more…it remains. When you cry in the deep of the night, heart wrenched in brokenness wondering how you’d ever rise up. Still come morning you choose joy and get up. When hope is lost and yet…you find a corner. A smudge of faith and cling with all the weak strength that is left inside of you.

Courage. Courage. And Courage.

Dear Dear Heart. Courage. A driving force that keeps us going forward. Courage doesn’t lie in the past though it is prompt by its decisions. Decisions is evoke by courage…ones that sacrifices often time personal feelings to do what is right. Grasping it, we stay as long as need and then we have courage…to let go and look to Jesus.
